Xiapin Song, M.S.,L.Ac., EAMP
Xiapin was born in Shanghai, China. She graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong Medical School (formally Shanghai Second Medical University) with a MD degree in 1984. During her six years of study in medical school, she also received concurrent and thorough training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. She had been practicing integrated medicine concurrently with the western medicine during that time. In 1997, she obtained a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle.
She is a currently Licensed Acupuncturist and Eastern Asian Medical Practitioner (“EAMP”) practicing in the State of Washington and also board certified as a Diplomat of Acupuncture by the NCCAOM. She has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine in the Greater Seattle Area since 1998. Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history. Western science has recently begun to explain how Chinese medicine works. The mysteries of Chinese medicine continue to be revealed in these most exciting times. She strongly believes that her combined knowledge of Eastern and Western medicine will provide a unique acupuncture practice, dedicated to helping people stay healthy and live a quality life.
She has been carrying out her clinics’ mission by caring compassionately for her patients. She conducts assessment and listens to patients’ needs through a holistic approach and treats patients as whole persons. She believes that preventative care is as, if not more, important than treating the diseases. Thus, her patients usually experience good outcomes.
Body and mind connects with each other. In her practice, she also collaboratively treats patients’ depression and anxiety with psychotherapists side by side.
